Green Turtle Cay: The Real Margaritaville?
Green Turtle Cay is a well loved destination among my circle of friends and acquaintances. This lovely little island is just the place to go if you love sipping margaritas, lounging on the beach, or doing some amazing diving. You’ll fly into one of the airports on Great Abaco and then take the ferry to Green Turtle. 
Green Turtle is one of the Northern most islands in the beautiful Sea of Abaco . New Plymouth is the only town on the island. Unlike Elbow Cay and Man 'O War Cay ,the island does have motorized vehicle traffic, if you can call the few cars and trucks you see “traffic.” However, the downtown area of New Plymouth does not allow motorized vehicles, so it is very pedestrian friendly. You’ll love walking through the narrow streets lined with white clapboard buildings trimmed with colorful, victorian gingerbread. Visit the Albert Lowe Museum, the Loyalist Memorial Sculpture Garden, the New Plymouth Cemetery, and the New Plymouth Jail. 
Here, on Green Turtle, you can stay at a low key resort, a quaint, island inn or a comfortable, island rental home. There is plenty of fun to be had. There is often live music at the Green Turtle Club, and if you’re lucky the island’s own famous Gully Roosters will be playing! They are a popular rake 'n scrape group that performs all over the Bahamas. And you simply must stop by Miss Emily’s Blue Bee Bar and try their marvelous Goombay Smash... so yummy! 
Fishing is fantastic here! You can go bonefishing on the flats. Or you could catch a grouper or snapper dinner if you go deep sea fishing off one of the reefs or ledges. There are plenty of knowledgeable guides who will take you wherever you want to go. Maybe you want to see the fish in their coral garden homes. In that case,
