The Bahamas Weather Forecast Is Deliciously Warm Sunshine, Cool Trade Winds, and Total Relaxation!

The Bahamas weather forecast promises you an island archipelago where you can count on sunshine for the majority of the year. The winter is our favorite season there because we love wearing shorts and t-shirts in January!

We love to swim and dive, too! The winter months in the Bahamas provide fine weather for taking a dip in the amazingly clear ocean. We wear a wetsuit for prolonged diving. The water temperature is usually in the 70's (fahrenheit). It is just perfect for cooling off!

The air temperature is usually in the 70's or 80's with a nice constant breeze. It's really perfect weather with just a few periodic rainy days, and if you've never seen purple storm clouds rolling in over the blue green Bahamian Sea, you're really missing out.

Our boat, Puff, sits securely at anchor under a gorgeous stormy sky while we walk our dog, Charlie, on the beach before the rain shower begins. It won't last for long.

The Bahamas weather forecast in the Spring is lovely. The air and sea temps are a little warmer, making it tempting just to hang out on the beach all day long sipping rum punches in between swims.

The Summer in the Bahamas is quite hot, because there is less of a breeze. No worries though, because this means the ocean is very calm and the fishing and diving are really fabulous!

Summer is also hurricane season, June through November, to be exact. Therefore, summer is considered the "off-season" in the Bahamas. You can find really good deals on places to stay.

The Bahamas weather forecast in the Fall is still quite warm, finally cooling off a bit when the Northeast fronts begin their yearly pattern traveling down the East Coast.

The breeze picks up and the temperature falls from the 80's and 90's back down to the 70's and 80's by November.

We find that Weather Underground is accurate and easy to understand. When we are actually in the Bahamas, we listen to the weather on our SSB radio. There are lots of boater cruising the Bahamas and it is imperative to their safety and comfort to stay abreast of the local weather.

While you are in the Bahamas, if you need to check the weather, you can always find a boater at one of the island bars and strike up a conversation about Bahamas weather. Also, many of the island locals are fisherman and they will be able to update you on any weather changes. Just ask around!
