Bahamas Scuba Diving In The Clearest Water On Earth
Bahamas scuba diving is ranked as some of the best diving in the world. The water in the Bahamas is the reportedly the clearest water on earth, with visibility of as much as 200 feet! The amazing visibility in the Bahamas isn't the only draw for scuba divers. The Bahamas was named #1 for big animals in the Caribbean in the 2010 Reader's Choice Survey by Scuba Diving Magazine. Sharks and dolphins are abundant in these crystal blue water. When we are in the Bahamas, we see a shark every day and dolphins every week.

We carry our own dive gear on our boat when we're in the Bahamas. We're able to
freedive
on a beautiful reef, check it out, and then decide if we want to scuba dive on it. Most of the Bahamas islands have scuba dive charter boats available to take you out. They usually offer rental equipment. There are also some exceptional dive resorts in the Bahamas. A few dive resorts worth looking into include: Stuart's Cove in Nassau, Riding Rock Resort in San Salvador, Blackbeard's Liveaboard Cruises, and my personal favorite... Small Hope Bay Lodge in Andros.

Small Hope Bay is an very quiet, simple, all-inclusive dive lodge that has a cozy, family history that dates back to 1960. The lodge is perfect for nature lovers that can appreciate delicious food and staying right on the shore of the third largest reef in the WORLD!
